Description | This series consists of financial documents, the bulk being bills and invoices. It also includes articles of association, itineraries and schedules, information pertaining to a Jocobean Banquet held at Burnt Stub Mansion, and bills and invoices pertaining to art department models. From the articles of association: "At the Council of Management meeting in May, the question of the provision of a bar for resident courses and conferences was discussed. In past years it has been possible to obtain the services of a local publican to supply a bar when a request has been made by the course organisers but this facility is no longer available due to rising costs of wages etc. The situation was considered and it appears that the only way it is possible to supply a bar is to establish a club and seek registration under the Licensing Acts. In order to apply for a certificate to become a registered club certain qualifications have to be met, e.g. there must be 25 members and a proper constitution for a bona fide club. At the end of May an application was submitted for a registration certificate for the Froebel Vacation Association Club, the members being the College Governors and the senior Administrative and Household staff only, plus as temporary members, the resident members of vacation courses. It is intended that the Club will only be open when there are resident courses in college." |
