Description | This series consists of 35 original pen and ink drawings by Rosalie Lulham for Violet G. Sheffield's book, "Introduction to Zoology through Nature Study" (London: MacMillan, 1930). Drawings are annotated with penciled instructions regarding size reductions for print publication. The series also includes a photograph of a carving of St. Francis and the Wolf with artist Anton Pitscheider, which he made for Ms. Lulham; and a description of Nature Study at the Froebel Educational Institute written by Ms. Lulham. Of note, this series includes information on the topic of nature study. Rosalie Lulham was lecturer in Natural History from 1900-1935 and Vice Principal from 1932 to 1935. |
