Description | Art portfolio and college memorabilia comprising: three large folders entitled ‘Miscellaneous’, ‘Nature’ and ‘Objects’ containing drawings, paintings and sketches, all with further information labels; two notebooks labelled ‘Museum Work’. ‘Plant life beside the River Lee’ [with botanical illustrations and text]; unlabelled notebook with human anatomy drawings; small notebook with pencil sketches; loose papers including artworks, sketches, cuttings and editions of ‘School Nature Study Union’; papers relating to Whitelands College including generic postcards and pictures, and a handwritten tribute / eulogy to former college art lecturer Miss Sharp [who retired in 1935 after 25 years at Whitelands].
Most pieces, which suggest a gifted artist, are signed and dated at Whitelands College, between 1917-1920.
