Description[These documents were originally held in one file, but were split into two files when they were repackaged by archive staff in 2015.] A table of contents can be found at the front of the documents; this table of contents dates to c2000s. Also found at the front of the documents is an index to all folders in the sub-series containing information about various dance notation systems [AHG/7/2/17/2-11], noting which dance notation systems can be found in which folder. The index dates to late-20th Century. [Parts of the index appear to be out of date and do not match up with the contents of the folders.] These two files [originally found in one file before repackaging] contain handwritten notes, printed articles and photocopies of information about different dance notation systems. The notes, articles and photocopies date to mid- to late-20th Century. Included is information about the following dance notation systems: - Adice (some of this information is in French) - Antonius Arena - Alexander - Arbeau (some of this information is in French) - Babbage - Babitz - Bakka - Bartholomay (this information is in German) - Bense (this information is in French) - Biosca (this information is in Spanish) - Birdwhistell - Blasis Also included are notes, articles, publications and photocopies that summarise information about several dance notation systems.
