The file contains Labanotated dance scores that have been used in O-Level [General Certificate of Education - Ordinary Level] and GCSE [General Certificate of Secondary Education] exam papers [presumably for practical exams in the subject of dance, although none of the scores have exam questions or instructions attached]. The scores come from exams set in c1980-1992 [though the file does not contain a score for every year]. The scores for 1992 come from an exam paper created by the University of London Examinations and Assessment Council (ULEAC). [For the other scores in the file, it is not known which exam board created the exam papers that they came from.]
Most of the dance scores are photocopies, with the photocopies made c1980s-c1990s.
The dance scores for the years 1986 and 1992, however, appear to be original exam booklets:
- The booklet for 1986 contains dance scores in Labanotation, dance scores in Benesh dance notation, and musical scores.
- The booklet for 1992 was created by the University of London Examinations and Assessment Council (ULEAC), and contains dance scores in Labanotation and dance scores in Benesh dance notation. Some of the scores in this booklet have been annotated, with annotations made c1992. |
