| Description | This series consists of teacher's certificate examination questions, loose notes and six notebooks titled "Life on a Plot," "Pond Life," "Education and Psychology," "Elephants," "Spiders and Snails," and untitled on topic of silk worms and caterpillars, with original diagrams, dried leaves, dried bark, dried skin and illustrations from press cuttings. Notebooks include comments by Olive Garnett (i.e., O.G.). Of note, this series includes information on the topic of nature study. Mary Lena Winskill attended Froebel Educational Institute between 1957 and 1960. Her first teaching post was at Kings Acre, Clapham, London, SW4. Later posts were at independent schools world-wide and the University of California. |
