| Description | This series consists of the personal papers of five former principals of Froebel Educational Institute, accumulated during their time as principal. The principals are the following: Principal Molly Brearley (principal between 1955 and 1970), Principal Eglantyne Mary Jebb (principal between 1932 and 1955), Principal Esther Lawrence (principal between 1901 and 1931), Principal Emilie Michaelis (principal between 1892 and 1901) and Principal Peter Weston (principal between 1996 and 2003). It includes the following types of material: administrative files, conferences proceedings, correspondence, examiner's reports, invitations, lectures, notes, pamphlets, press cuttings, research files (i.e., subject files), scripts, speeches and addresses, and other writings. Of note, the Eglantyne Mary Jebb papers include information pertaining to student evacuation and other Second World War measures. |
