Description | The message bug is a small pompom with eyes and feet attached. [The message bug has been made to look like Richmals Crompton's character, William]. The pompom is made of pink and brown wool [or synthetic wool], which simulates a pink face with brown hair. The pompom wears a blue and white striped cap, made from felt.
Attached to the base of the pompom is a white ribbon that has been printed with the words "Just William" and the logo of Bury Metro [Bury Metropolitan Borough Council].
[It is likely that this message bug was produced by Bury Metropolitan Borough Council as a promotional item to be handed out during the celebrations held in Bury to mark the centenary of the birth of Richmal Crompton.] |
