DescriptionThe box was used to package a hat sold by [the milliners], Woodrow, London. This hat was posted in the box to Miss Lamburn [Richmal Crompton Lamburn, also known as Richmal Crompton] in c1954. [The hat is no longer present.] A note on the top of the box [written by Richmal Crompton?] says "Gladioli" [it is not known if this note relates to flowers on the hat or to later contents of the box]; note written in c1954. [This box was used to hold some of Richmal Crompton's documents when they were deposited with Archives and Special Collections.]
Physical DescriptionThe box is made of cardboard and fastened with metal staples. It is 36cm x 33cm x 16cm.
