DescriptionThe chair may have been made in the early-20th Century. The bottom of the wooden frame has been carved with the number 24092. [This number was presumably carved by the manufacturer when the chair was made.]
Physical DescriptionThe frame of the chair is made from wood that has been varnished a dark-brown colour. The wood making up the arms of the frame and the back of the frame has been carved. The wood making up the two front legs of the frame has been turned in a spiral pattern. The back and the sides of the chair are made of wicker that is brown in colour. The seat of the chair is made of a mottled, grey [tweed?] fabric that is supported by a webbing base (the webbing is made of a light-brown, woven fabric). The chair is 70cm wide and 65cm deep. The seat of the chair is 36cm high; the arms of the chair are 64cm high; and the back of the chair is 80cm high.
