DescriptionIncludes the following: - Issues 26-35, 37, 39 and 41-42 of "The Labanotator" journal, 1979-1985, (some of which are annotated, with annotations made c1979-c1985), alongside correspondence and notes (dated 1979-1986) containing discussions about Labanotation raised by each issue. (These issues of "The Labanotator" were published by the LODC [Language of Dance Centre].) - Photocopies of issues 1-11 of "The Kinetographer" journal; issues dated 1973-1976 and photocopies made c1973-c1976 (some of the photocopies are annotated, with annotations made c1973-c1976). Also included are notes (dated c1975) containing discussions about Labanotation raised by one of the issues. ("The Kinetographer" was published by a joint editorial committee, based in London.) - Notes, dated mid- to late-20th Century, [compiled or created by?] Mary Skeaping about the following dances: - The ballet "Casse Noisette" ("The Nutcracker") - The ballet "Sleeping Beauty" - The ballet "Coppelia" - "Atis and Camilla" - Details of classes given at the Kungl. Teaterns Balettelevskola [Royal Theatre Ballet School] (these notes are in Swedish) - Exercises for Japanese dancing - "Caroso dances" [dances published in a dance manual by Fabritio Caroso] - "Gods-Go-a-Begging" - The ballet "Cupid Out of His Humour" (some of these notes are in Swedish) - "The Triumph of Diana" - "The Loves of Mars and Venus", choreographed by [John] Weaver - "Dances in Miniature" from the "Dunhill Suite" - Dances from "The Prophetan" - "Polka" and "Furiant" from "Bartered Bride" - Indian dance exercises - "Malpied" [dances published in a dance manual by Malpied] - "Parodies Gigue" - [English?] folk dances - "Nouveau Menuét de l'Eloge de la Chasse" (these notes are in French) - "Dances for Bach at Potsdam" - Russian dances - "Obertas" (a Polish dance) - "Can Can" - "Uzi Vezimeral Yah." Letter dated 1968, and photocopy made c1968. - Biographical notes about Anders Selinder; notes created mid- to late-20th Century - A photocopy of annotated notes about the history of the Royal Swedish Ballet. Notes created and annotated in the mid- to late-20th Century, and photocopy made in the late-20th Century.
