| Description | The file includes the following:
- Photocopies of the two parts of "A Dictionary of Classical Ballet in the Style of the Royal Academy of Dancing. Notated in Labanotation." This dictionary was created as part of a project by Susan Scott and Elaine Holland, students at the Royal Academy of Dancing, with each student creating one of the two parts of the dictionary. [Note: the dictionary only covers classical ballet steps that have names beginning A to P.] These parts of the dictionary were created in 1980-1981. The photocopies were made in c1981.
- A letter from Ann Hutchinson Guest to the Royal Academy of Dancing, offering to complete the dictionary started by Susan Scott and Elaine Holland. The letter is dated 1993.
- A handwritten list of classical ballet steps to be included in the dictionary [it is not known if this list is complete or incomplete]. List created 1994.
- Cuttings made from photocopies of a published dictionary of classical ballet steps, with Labanotated scores for each step. [These photocopies may come from the "Gail Grant Dictionary of Classical Ballet in Labanotation" by Allan Miles, published in 1972.] Photocopies made c1980s; cuttings made c1980s. |
