| Description | This series consists of student and college registers. Student registers for Froebel Educational Institute span the years 1916 to 1989 with a gap between 1982-1985. Student registers for Colet Gardens demonstration school span the years 1894 to 1921. Student registers contain the following types of information: name, date of birth, address, date of entering college, division, where educated, exams passed, and remarks (including post obtained, distinctions, first in class, etc.). They are arranged by year of entering college and then alphabetically. A college register spans the years 1894 to 1949. The college register was made possible by grants from Michaelis Guild and Committee of the Institute. They give a synopsis of careers as well as lists of appointments. Data was collected via questionnaires that were sent out to all students and former members of staff whose addresses were in College files. The college register includes annotations and name indexes. This series also includes registers of students who left the Froebel Educational Institute for the years 1936, 1950-1960, 1964-1965; and Board of Education student lists, 1923-1938. |
