| Description | This series consists of documents from the following organisations: Nursery School Association, Training Colleges Clearing House (THHC), German Educational Reconstruction (G.E.R.), Putney Society, Association of Teachers in Colleges and Departments of Education (ATCDE), and Clerk School Board Liverpool. It also includes an address book listing many schools, educational organisations, headmistresses and principals. The bulk of the series is composed of correspondence on a variety of topics including organisation membership, council meetings, admission of women to training colleges, and teacher secondment. Of note, the Association of Teachers in Colleges and Departments of Education (ATCDE) file includes a pamphlet outlining the constitution of the organisation and a document titled "Note on girls' boarding schools and the training of teachers by Miss Jebb and Miss Duff." The Nursery School Association is now the British Association For Early Childhood Education (BAECE). |
