DescriptionThe photographs were taken in the c1860s-1960s. (One of the c1960s photographs is in colour. The rest of the photographs are black and white.) Some of the photographs have been annotated on the back; annotations added in the early- to late-20th Century. Some of the annotations give the names of people in the photos. Also included are notes [written by Richmal Crompton] stating "All good wishes, Richmal Crompton" [presumably these notes were used as a practice for writing autographs on promotional photos]; notes written in the c1950s.
