How to Access the Collections

The collections listed in this catalogue are open for use to all students, staff and external researchers. You can view, in person, any material listed in the catalogue that has its access status listed as open.


To view material, you will need to visit the relevant repository (the name will be listed in the relevant catalogue entry). Based at the University of Roehampton in London, the material is housed on three different sites of the campus. Archival material can be viewed by appointment only. Please contact the relevant repository to arrange an appointment.


When arranging to visit, please note the reference number(s) for the material you wish to consult. This will help us to find the material for you.

Parts of the published material held by Archives and Special Collections are available for access on open shelves and can be viewed without an appointment during the Library opening times. Where published material is available for access, this is clearly marked in this catalogue. Archives and Special Collections is based in the Library at the University of Roehampton. Material that has its access status listed as closed

In some cases it may be possible to view a redacted version of closed material. Access to closed material is at the discretion of the archivist. Please contact the relevant repository for further information.
